Arlington ISD Fine Arts Center

Arlington ISD

Arlington, TX USA

A next-level fine arts center that serves the district and community.

The Arlington ISD Performing Arts Complex includes a 1,250-seat concert hall, 425-seat studio theatre, art and dance studios, classroom space, instrument repair center and an art gallery. UIL competitions were a key program requirement which resulted in generous circulation and stage spaces.

A purpose-built concert hall supports AISD's strong music programs. The classic shape was designed to support choir, orchestra, and ensembles, but the inclusion of variable acoustics allows the hall to be tailored to a wide range of musical performances. The inclusion of an LED screen and color changing LED house lighting immerses the audience in the performance.

The intimate environment of the studio theatre celebrates the connection between the student performer and audience. Audio, video, theatrical lighting and rigging technology not only facilitate the performance, they allow the students the opportunity to get hands on experience with state of the art equipment.
