Arlington ISD Fine Arts Center

A Fine Arts Center that serves as a bridge to the next level.

The Arlington ISD Performing Arts Complex includes a 1,250-seat concert hall, 425-seat studio theatre, art and dance studios, classroom space, instrument repair center and an art gallery. The desire to host UIL competitions was a key program requirement and resulted in generous circulation and stage spaces.

One of the key decisions was to build a purpose-built concert hall to support AISD's strong music programs. The classic shape was designed to support choir, orchestra, and ensembles, but the inclusion of variable acoustics will allow the hall to be tailored to a wide range of musical performances. The inclusion of an LED screen and color changing LED house lighting allow the audience to be immersed in the performance.

The studio theatre is an intimate environment that celebrates the connection between the student performer and audience. Audio, video, theatrical lighting and rigging technology not only facilitate the performance, they allow the students the opportunity to get hands on experience with state of the art equipment.
