Courtney Schoedel's career is a blend of specialized acoustics and theater design for spaces where people come together to share an experience. She leads the acoustic team at Idibri-a firm specializing in acoustics, theatrical consulting, and technology design.
Courtney is unique as a consultant because she effortlessly crosses disciplines. Her thinking is always holistic and she has a gift for balancing what it requires to achieve excellence with the practical realities of budget and construction. She is competent serving high profile projects as she interfaces with architects, engineers, developers, construction teams, and venue owners.
Her capacity for high-performance has produced excellent results for venues such as: Hollywood Park, Epic's Deep Space, Galaxy's Broadway Theatre in Macau, SaRang Church in Seoul, El Distrito in San Juan, and the Arlington ISD Performing Arts Complex. She's also served corporate clients such as Raytheon, Bank of America, CenturyLink, Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), Lincoln Property Company (LPC), Shred415; and mixed use developments such as 12th & Broadway in Nashville, Park District in Dallas, Sunroad in San Diego, and the Buffalo Marriott Harborcenter.
Courtney has a M.Arch. and MS in Building Sciences with a concentration in Architectural Acoustics, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; and a BD in Architecture from the University of Florida. Along with completing the INCE Board Certification process, she is serving a three-year term on the Board of Directors for INCE-USA. She is also a member of ASA and ASHRAE.
She loves working with design teams to produce creative solutions that result in unique spaces with the ability to draw people into a shared experience. Courtney spends weekends hanging out with the family, friends, and enjoys early mornings spent doing bootcamps and training for half marathons.Link to CV
